1953: Various sections that were to make up Oopaarau No. 1 Block were subject to a blanket order vesting them in the Maaori Trustee.

1955: Maaori Trustee included the whenua that were to make up Oopaarau No 1 Block lands within the Oopaarau Land Development Scheme.

1959: Ooparau No. 1 Block formed.  The amalgamation of land parcels grouped together a number of whanau into a large block.

1965: Amalgamated land blocks subject to reservations imposed by Section & Coal Amendment Act 1950, and transferred to Crown and farmed by Department of Maori Affairs

1983: Order vesting shares of Her Majesty the Queen in all owners Land returned to Owners with debt. Maaori Land Trust established under Maaori Affairs Act 1953. Appointment of five (5) inaugural Trustees

1988: Trust Order declaring the terms of Oopaarau Station Trust
